2011 NBA Mock Draft: Where Will John Calipari's Latest PG Product Wind Up?

2011 NBA Draft Order will be set in stone after Tuesday night's NBA Draft Lottery and a number of scenarios are in play. Will the Minnesota Timberwolves draft another point guard if awarded the top overall pick? Could BYU's Jimmer Fredette fall entirely out of the lottery? How would Derrick Williams going No. 2 change the way the rest of the lottery teams made their selections? Bleacher Report will looks at these scenarios and more, along with speculation and rumors from around the web.

Will the Sacramento Kings’ attempted return to relevance be pinned on yet another John Calipari-coached product—in this case, Brandon Knight?
Sacramento already scored a huge victory this offseason when it won an additional year in California’s capital, now the Kings need to put together an on-court product that will put fans back in the seats and re-ignite a frustrated fanbase. Knight could do just that.

In 2009 the Kings grabbed Tyreke Evans out of Memphis and last year took DeMarcus Cousins, both of whom graduated from the Calipari school of one-and-dones. Evans has shown that he’s more of a scorer than a natural point guard and incumbent Beno Udrih is a good role player, but not the playmaker the Kings require to get the ball in the hands of their youthful offensive core.

Bleacher Report Featured Columnist Jesse Dorsey pegs the Kings to take Knight at No. 5 and the Sacramento Bee’s Jason Jones reports that GM Geoff Petrie is living by the age-old mantra of “best player available,” but admits that they’ve long coveted a playmaking point guard:
